In December I had the pleasure of heading to London King's Cross for the Illustrator's Fair, with lovely friend Lisa Mellows.

Over in Edinburgh, a print of my portrait arrived at Edinburgh University Library, alongside my work on the Unseen Hands Project, as a part of exhibition there focusing on the lived experience of people living with HIV.

A long trip to Edinburgh was a great opportunity to get to know YouthSpark, a group of young people in Leith who are passionate about redeveloping their local green spaces.

We collaborated with several creative sessions across the end of the month and hope to create a large artwork/output in the new year.

My work continues with Prof Sammy Mason, and the Ouroutdoors team. Ouroutdoors is an app created by several researchers that can be used to rate the wellbeing benefits of green and blue spaces.

Work has begun creating the colouring book for Grace's project: Conversations about Cancer.

This month we've been hearing more from generous individuals who have shared about their experience of childhood cancer.

With these surveys and interviews, we are aiming to create a thoughtful and effective resource for children and parents on Oncology wards across the UK.

I was thrilled to be part of the Old Jet Open Studios and Exhibition, among so many extremely talented, hardworking friends.

Words from Niamh -

The first meeting of the Empower Dementia Network, using creative methods to discuss how to improve dementia care across the UK.

Co-facilitated with the brilliant Faye Watson.

Continued work with Frankie Vale and her wonderful team of co-curators, using art to express the lived experience of Breast Cancer.

This project has spanned across several months and the ladies have created some incredible work. Looking forward to seeing this work exhibited some time in 2025!
